Swelling synths, electro beat grooves, soundtrack strings and warm piano. With its roots proudly grounded in the DNA of its musical ancestry, “interstitial” is a broad collection of what makes synth music great. From pop, to ballad, to industrial edges, and other genre collisions, any fan of electronic music should find something here. There are even a couple of bangers best heard on the dance floor.
These are songs about grief, loss of role, dislocation of place and self, all against a backdrop of highly melodic ear candy.
Each of the 12 songs are introduced with musical interludes or “interstitials” taking the listener from space to space and place to place.
Interstitial is a soundtrack of moments as we move from one station to another.
